A MAJOR development has been confirmed in the future of one of Wales’ best-known holiday park operators, eight months after it entered administration.
Celtic Holiday Parks, which operated a portfolio of luxury sites across south Pembrokeshire, went into administration in June last year. Joint administrators Alistair Wardell and Richard Lewis of Grant Thornton UK were appointed on May 27 and confirmed at the time that Noble Court Holiday Park in Narberth and Meadow House Holiday Park in Amroth would continue trading as normal during the process.
It has now been revealed that all three parks formerly operated under the Celtic Holiday Parks brand have been sold to separate buyers.
Savills, acting on behalf of the joint administrators, announced that the sites were sold for individual sums ranging from £3.2 million to £10 million.
Meadow House Holiday Park has been acquired by Hall Bros Leisure for £10 million. The 16-acre site currently comprises 187 static holiday caravans or twin-unit lodges.

Noble Court Holiday Park has been purchased by Threesix Holdings for £3.2 million. Spanning more than 50 acres, the park includes a mix of 173 privately owned units alongside luxury hire caravans, lodges and glamping accommodation.
Croft Country Park has been sold to Henson Leisure Group for £3.5 million. The 13-acre site currently accommodates 124 static holiday caravans, 75 of which are privately owned. Planning permission is already in place for a further nine pitches to be developed behind the Stables.
Richard Prestwich, director in Savills’ leisure and trading team, said the business attracted widespread interest from potential buyers.
“The group generated exceptional interest due to its prime location and the strong reputation it has built,” he said. “More than 100 parties expressed interest, highlighting the strength of demand for these types of assets. Savills therefore ran an informal tender process to ensure a fair and competitive outcome, which successfully identified the purchasers and resulted in the sale of all three parks.”
Celtic Holiday Parks was founded in 2003 by managing director Huw Pendleton as a family-run business. Over the years, the company earned a number of industry accolades, including luxury accommodation provider of the year for south Wales, and was recognised among the leading caravan and camping parks in Pembrokeshire.
During its two decades of operation, the business invested around £6 million into developing and improving its sites. It also weathered the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic with the support of a six-figure loan from HSBC in 2020.
