Curfew imposed under electronic tag
A DRUG supply allegation has been committed to the Crown Court following a hearing before magistrates.
Gareth Jones, 49, of Russell Terrace, Carmarthen, appeared before magistrates charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine, contrary to section 4(3)(b) and Schedule 4 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
The charge alleges that between October 24, 2024 and February 13, 2026, at Carmarthen, he was concerned in the supply of a quantity of cocaine, a Class A controlled drug.
The case was sent to Swansea Crown Court for trial under Section 51(1) and (2)(b) of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.
Jones was remanded on conditional bail.
Bail conditions include a daily curfew between 7pm and 7am, to be electronically monitored. He must remain at his home address between 5pm and midnight until February 15, 2026 to allow installation of the monitoring tag. He is also required to reside and sleep each night at his Carmarthen address. The court certified that a full argument was heard on the bail application.
The case was adjourned until March 16 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
