Accused remanded in custody
AN ALLEGATION of aggravated burglary has been committed to the Crown Court following a magistrates’ hearing.
Jayden Mason-Forbes, 20, of Cylch Aeron, Aberaeron, Ceredigion, appeared before magistrates charged with aggravated burglary of a dwelling, contrary to section 10(1) of the Theft Act 1968.
The charge alleges that on February 7, 2026, at Brongwinau, together with another named defendant and others, he entered a dwelling as a trespasser and inflicted grievous bodily harm upon a person inside. It is further alleged that at the time of the burglary he had with him weapons of offence, namely a metal pole and a knife.
The case was sent to Swansea Crown Court for trial under Section 51(1) and (2)(a) of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.
Mason-Forbes was remanded in custody before conviction. Bail was refused on the grounds that he was likely to offend and to prevent interference with witnesses or obstruction of justice. The court cited the nature and seriousness of the offence, previous record and character, the likelihood of a custodial sentence if convicted, and failure to comply with court orders.

The next hearing, a plea and trial preparation hearing, is listed for March 16, 2026 at Swansea Crown Court.
