Accused remanded after bail hearing
AN AMMANFORD man has been remanded in custody following an allegation of breaching a restraining order.
Daniel Lewis, 32, of Heol Llwchwr, Ammanford, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (Feb 10) charged with harassment by breaching a restraining order imposed on conviction, contrary to section 363(1) and (2) of the Sentencing Act 2020.
The charge alleges that on January 29, 2026, at Llanelli, he attended the home address of a woman in breach of a restraining order imposed by Swansea Crown Court on July 24, 2025.
The court certified that a full argument was heard on the application for bail.
Lewis was remanded in custody before conviction. Bail was refused on the grounds that he was likely to offend, including causing injury or fear of injury to an associated person, and to prevent interference with witnesses or obstruction of justice. The court cited his previous record and character.
The next hearing is listed for March 10 at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.
