Llanelli man denies axe possession charge

Bladed article allegation to be heard at later date

A LLANELLI man has appeared before magistrates accused of possessing a bladed weapon in a public place.

Shone Bell, aged 30, of Llys Glan Y Mor, Llanelli, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 26.

The court heard that Bell is charged with possession of a bladed or sharply pointed article in a public place, contrary to the Criminal Justice Act. The offence is alleged to have taken place on December 6, 2025, when Bell was found in possession of a black metal axe.

Bell entered a not guilty plea at an earlier hearing on December 20, 2025.

The case was listed for further proceedings and remains ongoing.
