Motorist fined following Llanelli court appearance

Three charges arising from same incident brought against Llandeilo man

FOLLOWING a single incident last summer, a Llandeilo man appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court to face three motoring-related charges, one of which resulted in a conviction.

Andrew O’Connor, aged 38, of Talhardd Villas, Ffairfach, was before the court on Tuesday (Feb 3) in relation to offences that all occurred on August 11, 2025.

The court heard that O’Connor had used a motor vehicle on a road in a manner considered dangerous. He entered a guilty plea to that charge, which magistrates accepted.

As a result, O’Connor was fined £160. He was also ordered to pay £130 in prosecution costs along with the statutory victim surcharge.

Two further matters were also listed before the court on the same day. These related to the use of a motor vehicle or trailer for a purpose not covered by a licence, and failing to stop a vehicle after a road traffic collision.

Both of those charges were withdrawn by the prosecution, and no further action was taken in respect of them.
