Multiple vehicle charges denied

Trial date set at Llanelli court

A CARMARTHEN man has denied a series of vehicle-related offences when he appeared before magistrates in Llanelli.

Paul Owen, 45, of Cae Eithin, Carmarthen, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (Feb 11) charged with several offences alleged to have taken place in October 2025.

The charges, all relating to October 26, 2025, include multiple counts of vehicle interference. He is also charged with taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent on October 24, 2025, theft from a vehicle on October 26, 2025, and theft of a motor vehicle on October 26, 2025. One charge of theft of a motor vehicle was withdrawn.

Owen entered not guilty pleas to the remaining charges on February 11, 2026.

The case was adjourned for trial on March 26 at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court, and he was remanded on conditional bail.

Bail conditions include a daily curfew between 9pm and 7am, during which he must present himself to a police officer if required. He must reside and sleep each night at his Carmarthen address and must not post anything on social media about the case. The conditions were imposed to prevent further offending and to prevent interference with witnesses or obstruction of justice.

No financial penalties were imposed at this stage as the matter has been listed for trial.
