THIS FRIDAY (September 26), Jones o Gymru — the Welsh crisp manufacturer — will launch its brand-new beef flavoured crisps; its first new flavour in over a decade.
To mark the occasion, hampers filled with the beef flavoured crisps will appear outside businesses across Wales this Friday — with their locations set to be revealed via social media on Friday morning.
The first people to claim the hampers will be among the first in Wales to try the new flavour — winning a supply of beef flavoured crisps plus a £30 Jones o Gymru voucher.
Its first ever meat flavour, the beef crisps will be the fifth addition to Jones’ range — joining the existing salted, cheese and onion, salt and vinegar and sweet chilli offerings.
Upon launching the beef crisps, Jamie Hughes, Chief Executive Officer at Madryn Foods (producers of Jones o Gymru crisps), said: “As the only UK crisp manufacturer owned by a Welsh company, our fifth flavour was always going to be meat-based — in homage to Wales’ agricultural landscape.
“The beef flavour has been in development for a few years now, and we’re confident we’ve perfected a bold taste which celebrates the rich quality of Welsh beef. We can’t wait for everyone to try them — they might just be our best flavour yet…”
