Shoplifting offender given suspended prison sentence by magistrates

A WOMAN has received a suspended prison sentence after admitting a series of shoplifting offences.

Kelly Vick, aged 45, of the Llandaff North and Gabalfa areas of Cardiff, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (December 30).

The court heard that Vick had been charged with multiple counts of theft from shops, contrary to the Theft Act. The offences were dealt with together, with magistrates noting the repeated nature of the offending.

Vick was sentenced to a term of imprisonment, which was suspended. The court also made a suspended sentence order, allowing her to remain in the community provided she complies with the terms set by the court.

Magistrates ordered Vick to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
