Industry-leading early years programme aims to boost confidence, curiosity and a love of learning
MORE than 100 children at Busy Bees St David’s Park in Ewloe are set to begin an exciting new chapter in their early education with the introduction of the Bee Curious curriculum.
The industry-leading approach to early years learning is designed to celebrate children’s natural curiosity while building confidence, independence and a lifelong love of learning. Staff at the nursery say the new curriculum will help give children a strong foundation for school and beyond.
Rooted in joyful, play-based experiences, Bee Curious encourages children to explore and discover the world around them at their own pace. The curriculum builds on the Curriculum for Wales framework, offering broader, deeper and richer learning opportunities that support children’s development across all areas.
The programme has been carefully developed by a team of early years education specialists, including Gill Jones MBE, Busy Bees’ Group Chief Quality Officer, and Jenny Shaw, Lead Academic Researcher and Developer. Their aim was to create a curriculum that truly ignites curiosity in young learners, while recognising that every child learns differently.
A key focus of Bee Curious is personalised learning, with activities and experiences tailored to each child’s individual pace, learning style and interests. By nurturing children’s confidence and independence from an early age, the curriculum aims to help them grow beyond what they might have thought possible.
Busy Bees St David’s Park says it is proud to be rolling out the new curriculum, which places children’s wonder and imagination at the heart of learning, and looks forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on families across the Ewloe area.
