Court fine imposed for criminal damage offence

Damage to property dealt with at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court

DAMAGING property has resulted in a court fine for a Carmarthenshire man.

Joshua Reed, aged 23, of Llanelli, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (Feb 3) in connection with an offence said to have taken place on January 19, 2026.

The court heard that Reed caused damage to a window, with the value of the damage assessed at under £5,000. He entered a guilty plea, which was accepted by the magistrates.

Magistrates imposed a fine of £200. He was also ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs along with a £48 victim surcharge.

Reed was further ordered to pay £120 in compensation to cover the cost of the damage caused.
