Road traffic offence dealt with by magistrates
FAILING to comply with a legal request from police has resulted in a fine for a Carmarthenshire man.
Dafydd Owen, aged 49, of Cross Hands, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Monday (Feb 2) in connection with an offence said to have taken place on December 28, 2025.
The court heard that Owen failed to give information relating to the identification of a driver when required to do so by police. He entered a guilty plea, which was accepted by the bench.
Magistrates imposed a fine of £660 and ordered Owen to pay £90 in prosecution costs along with a £48 victim surcharge.
Six penalty points were endorsed on his driving licence as a result of the offence.
