Motorist to be sentenced after admitting multiple driving offences
A DISQUALIFIED motorist who drove dangerously and without insurance has been ordered to return to court for sentencing next month.
Simon Jones, 35, of Derwendeg, Porthyrhyd, Carmarthen, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on January 12, where he admitted three separate motoring offences.
The court heard that on December 5, 2025, Jones was seen driving a Ford Fiesta along the road between Penrhiwllan and Croeslan in Ceredigion. Police officers stopped the vehicle and subsequent checks revealed that Jones was disqualified from driving and had no valid insurance in place.
Jones also admitted a charge of dangerous driving arising from the same incident.
Magistrates remanded him on conditional bail to allow a pre-sentence report to be prepared. As part of his bail conditions, Jones must reside at his home address and cooperate fully with probation officers, including attending all scheduled appointments.
Jones is due to return to Llanelli Magistrates’ Court for sentencing on February 3.
