Drug suspect to appear at Crown Court after cocaine seizure

Defendant accused of possessing 83 grams of Class A drug with intent to supply

A 38-YEAR-OLD will appear at Swansea Crown Court next month after being accused of possessing cocaine with intent to supply.

Robert Morris, of Llys Iwan, High Street, Ammanford, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on January 12th charged with having 83.6 grams of cocaine, a Class A drug, on January 10th.

The court heard that Morris was arrested following a police operation in Ammanford, where officers recovered the drugs. He gave no indication of plea during the hearing.

The case was sent to Swansea Crown Court under Section 51A of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. Morris was granted conditional bail with an electronically monitored curfew from 7pm to 7am and must live at his home address.

He is due to appear at Swansea Crown Court on February 13th for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
