Victim, 63, died in hospital following alleged assault
A MAN has been charged with murder following the death of a 63-year-old man who was allegedly assaulted outside a Swansea pub.
Emergency services were called to The Mill on Brynymor Road in the Brynmill area of the city at around 8:15pm on Friday (July 25), after reports that a man had been found unconscious outside the venue.
The victim was taken to Morriston Hospital but sadly died on Sunday (July 27).
Steven Vonk, aged 51, of Westbury Street, Brynmill, has been charged with murder. He appeared before Swansea Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning (July 28).
The case has been sent to Swansea Crown Court, where Vonk is expected to appear on Tuesday.
