Public order offence dealt with at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court
AFTER admitting a public order offence, a Carmarthenshire man has been fined by magistrates sitting at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.
Gareth Hughes, aged 33, of Burry Port, appeared before the court on Tuesday (Feb 3) in connection with an incident said to have taken place on January 20, 2026.
The court heard that Hughes used threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress during the incident. He entered a guilty plea to the offence, which was accepted by the bench.
Magistrates imposed a £120 fine and ordered Hughes to pay £85 in prosecution costs along with a £48 victim surcharge.
