Unauthorised contact led to further court action
MAKING contact in breach of a court order has resulted in a fine for a Carmarthenshire man.
Jonathan Reed, aged 40, of Burry Port, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (Feb 3) in connection with an offence said to have taken place on January 26, 2026.
The court heard that Reed breached a restraining order by contacting a protected person, contrary to conditions imposed by the court. He entered a guilty plea, which was accepted by the magistrates.
As a result, the bench imposed a fine of £250. He was also ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs along with a £48 victim surcharge.
