Motorist fined and banned after drink-driving offence

Motorist appeared before magistrates after roadside stop

STOPPED by police while behind the wheel, a Llanelli man has been fined and banned after admitting a drink-driving offence.

Craig Morgan, aged 36, of Llanelli, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Monday (Feb 2) in connection with an offence said to have taken place on January 16, 2026.

The court heard that Morgan drove a motor vehicle while the level of alcohol in his breath exceeded the prescribed legal limit. He entered a guilty plea, which was accepted by the bench.

Magistrates imposed a fine of £250 and ordered Morgan to pay £85 in prosecution costs along with a £48 victim surcharge.

In addition, Morgan was disqualified from driving for 16 months.
