Pensioner denies trespass and assault allegations

Court hears trespass, assault and harassment matters

APPEARING before magistrates in Llanelli, a Carmarthenshire man faced a number of separate allegations arising from incidents said to have taken place over a short period of time.

Dilwyn Williams, aged 70, of Ger y Llan, Llanarthne, Carmarthen, was before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Monday (Feb 2) in connection with three matters.

The court heard that Williams is accused of aggravated trespass after failing to leave land when directed to do so, an offence alleged to have occurred on February 1, 2026.

He is also accused of assaulting a police officer while the officer was acting in the execution of their duty, an incident also said to have taken place on February 1.

A further matter relates to allegations that Williams persistently made use of a public communications network to cause annoyance or inconvenience, an offence said to have occurred on January 27, 2026.

Williams entered not guilty pleas to the aggravated trespass and assault on a constable charges. No pleas were entered in respect of the communications offence at this hearing.

All three matters were adjourned until Monday (Mar 2) for further proceedings at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.
